ISLAMABAD, (Yhe News): President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have agreed on not taking loan on tough IMF conditions.
According to sources, the Prime Minister called on the President here at Aiwan-e-Saddar and briefed him about Turkeys visit. They also exchanged views on the countrys political situation, war on terror and the recent earthquake in Balochistan.
Condemning the U.S. drone raids within Pakistan territory, both the leaders termed strikes as attack on sovereignty and autonomy of the country.
They agreed to decide about taking IMF loan after the economic experts of the country who are presently in talks with the IMF review the strings attached to it in detail. The IMF loan will not be accepted if the conditions attached to it are found to be against the interest of the country.
It was hoped that Pakistans friends will come forward in helping the country out of the prevailing economic crisis.
Both leaders agreed that final decision regarding IMF loan facility would be taken after President Zaradaris upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia and the meeting of Friends of Pakistan which would be held in Abu Dhabi.
They also agreed that the cabinet would be expanded before Presidents visit to Saudi Arabia.
